Rodon Electrical (Pty) Ltd was established in 1966 primarily as a maintenance company
on site at Haggie Rand Limited, Jupiter, to maintain butt welders, lighting and doing odd
machine installations in the Jupiter factory.

In 1970 the Company decided to diversify their activities and moved to their own
factory and workshops.

Installed and commissioned wire drawing machines, rope making stranders and installed

sub-station to security office mimic boards. Rodon has been doing the high voltage
maintenance work and general installation work at this plant for the past thirty years.

The Company has installed and commissioned various 1000 kilowatt induction furnaces,
including the associated 3000amp busbar system to the furnaces, as well as automated

ISSUE OF CERTIFICATES OF COMPLIANCE FOR OLD MUTUAL

We are called upon by Old Mutual to issue Certificate of Compliances before houses are sold or auctioned.

Work consists of complete rewiring of premises to changing plugs, earth leakages etc.

C & C SAFETY GLASS

Install new glass bending machine.

Supply cable was pulled in from the Council to a 1600kVA transformer and cabling to a 2500A D/B to supply the new machine.

REFURBISH OF METHODIST CHURCHES

1. Trinity Methodist Church, Linden.

Church was completely revamped, new lights, plugs and refurbished D/B’s.

2. Northfield Methodist Church, Benoni.

Complete revamp, new offices, lighting in car park, new chapel.

Rodon Electrical is still actively involved in all these companies. All these companies are 5 star rated companies hence work standards and safety are of the utmost importance.

The Company’s work force is well trained and qualified to maintain high standards of
work and safety on all the work sites.

The present work force consists of six qualified, six grade 1 operators and ten electrical
assistants.

The Company has been a loyal member of the Electrical Contractors Association for the
past thirty five years.

and distribution boards used on their projects.

The Company has the facilities for steel fabrication and general building work of
sub-stations and foundation work.

The Company directors and contracts manager are qualified licensed electricians with a
combined total of 80 years experience in the electrical field and are still active in the company.
